Ever wonder where the professional writers go for ideas?

How do they know the hottest topics? They visit the blogs, social networking websites and the micro-blogs like Twitter according to the article “Where Do Stories Come From?” If it works for the professionals, I would say it will work for the average Joe as well.

Blogs and social networking sites are great places to meet people with similar interests, business connections and possible career opportunities. Companies are also using these resources as lost cost recruiting tools.  Thinking (or in this case) researching “out of the box” through blogs and groups on Facebook may lead you to an opportunity not available on Monster or Careerbuilder.com. Many times it’s not what you know, rather who you know.
